Karin Witzig of Wild Woman Wellness™ Health Coaching is a speaker, writer and expert in empowering women in taking the steps to getting healthy through pleasure, fun, and cultivating community and womanhood.

As a former workaholic, education executive and corporate drone, Karin truly understands the demands and challenges facing today’s modern woman.

Having been there herself, Karin has a knack for connecting with all types of women: She has been an eclectic mix of people…

  • professional horse exerciser to the rich and not-so-famous
  • nanny to five energetic children
  • waitress in the most exclusive bars and restaurants to even the local dive
  • adult college student juggling the balancing act of work, study and trying to have a life
  • personal assistant one too many times to the eccentric and neurotic
  • executive with no life
  • teacher who loves her students
  • trainer and facilitator to hundreds at a time
  • horse groom (getting dirty with the best of them)
  • hostess with charm under pressure
  • receptionist with a zest for detail
  • research assistant who enjoys digging for facts
  • manager of people
  • writer (with the occasional writer’s block)
  • journalist who still believes it’s a noble profession
  • sales woman with a fear of cold calling
  • creative problem solver
  • traveler
  • dance teacher
  • uber busy career woman
  • curriculum director
  • business owner
  • just to name a few...

...you name it. She’s probably done it. She’s been broke, she’s done well, and been broke again and finally figured some things out and is doing very well (always still learning!) Ah! Life is the ultimate teacher, isn’t it! Karin simply appreciates women’s friendships and brings her love of feminine issues to her practice everyday. (Ask her about her network of women’s support groups)

As a graduate of Marymount College of Fordham University (formerly part of a national, sister network of The Marymount Colleges for Women) in New York and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, she has been extensively trained in modern health counseling, eastern and western nutrition and using food as therapy. Karin is certified as a Holistic Health Counselor and accredited with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).

She has studied with well-known masters of the alternative health field known for their ability to convey a deep appreciation for the healing arts, as well as the challenges and concerns of American life today. She continues her education both formally and through living a wildly delicious, Goddess-inspired life. Karin is also a faculty member at Integrative Nutrition teaching and training future health counselors.

Karin is undertaking additional training in the Graduate School of Coaching at CoachVille, a coach training firm to perfect her skills and gain certification.

Why Women’s Health?

Attending a women’s college really began opening her eyes to the differences in teaching and communication style used in women’s education. There she met some of the nicest and smartest women she has ever known. From professors to fellow students, her return to school was warmly received and she never forgot it. She quickly developed a strong interest in the challenges and concerns of today’s woman.

Despite her education track in journalism, business administration and English Literature, Karin began pursuing a formal education in nutrition and wellness by following the traditional route of enrolling into a nutrition science program geared towards becoming a Registered Dietician.

Simultaneously, she enrolled in a holistic nutrition and counseling training program at Integrative Nutrition and began living a dual life. By day she played by the rules of traditional nutrition theories based on diet planning, calorie counting, regurgitating information and chemistry. By evening and weekend, she passionately devoured any and every book she could read on alternative perspectives of health and creating change, and studied with the leaders of the alternative and holistic health movement in food and nutrition. She quickly began to see where her energy was and made a swift change to building a practice using all of her experience. She has been leading women (and the occasional man) to lasting health ever since.

After recovering from severe PMS symptoms, being at the whim of her cravings and food addictions and a lifetime of being a workaholic, Karin began to understand what women truly desired and craved in their life and what was holding them back from getting it. She too had once been that woman who put herself last, suffered every month with out-of-control mood swings and debilitating menstrual cramps. She discovered a direct correlation between a woman’s self-care and her ability to live her life as she dreamed it.
