1.)
Increase Your Energy
Increasing your energy can happen very quickly. Often, my clients
start to feel more energetic right after enrolling into their
program. You see, you begin with an intention, and immediately
things start to happen.
I don't believe in taking away your favorite foods. In fact,
I prefer to start by upgrading what you already like to eat, to
much better versions and variations. This subtle yet powerful
start has you feeling better very quickly. Once you are comfortable
with that, we begin adding new foods - you explore, try and wake
up those taste buds. Then the magic begins.
Your body will start craving more and more healthy foods, thus
slowly crowding out the foods that don't really work for you.
Given a chance, your body knows exactly what to do. The result
lots more energy.
In the same way that we began upgrading your food choices, we
will also be looking and addressing energy drainers in your lifestyle.
You and I will collaborate in finding creative ways to handle,
adjust or even simply remove the source of energy drainers. Like
food, this addresses the root of the problem and creates a sustainable,
healthy and energetic lifestyle.

2.)
Get Focus and Clarity
Upgrading your food creates an upgraded "operating system."
When you start to eat in a less complicated manner, eat food that
is less processed and full of real nutrients, your thinking and
focus also gets clearer, sharper and a lot less fuzzy.
When we eat junk and low-quality food, it shows up in our moods
and thinking patterns. Food really is our most intimate relationship.
It creates the quality of our blood, cells, etc
nothing
else influences who we are as much as what you put in your body.
The bottom line: eating less extreme foods creates a less extreme
way of life.

3.)
Easy Nutritious Cooking
What if I told you that you could create 5-10 minute meals and
be proud to serve your creation to friends and family. It's true!
One of the first steps to making healthy meals is to dejunk your
kitchen and restock it with inexpensive and healthy staples. When
you have the right ingredients on hand, it's easy to whip up a
great meal.
Then I'll show you how to put together healthy meals in no time.
I'll send along step-by-step recipes and you can even take private
cooking classes in lieu of your in-person sessions. We'll revamp
your favorite meals so that they work for you versus having you
feel bad after eating them. You'll also learn how to cook and
eat according to how you want to feel; for example, how to eat
for a long night of networking versus eating to stay calm and
relaxed for a test.

4.)
Increase Time for Self-Care
Time, time, time. It's actually the only constant in change. There
are only so many hours in the day. We might as well befriend "time"
and start using it wisely.
How many of hours of your day do you devote to the things you
love and enjoy? This is what I call filling up on non-food sources.
I call this Primary Food. Things like, relationships, spirituality,
our careers and type of exercise (or lack there of) all feed us
in very powerful ways. It's all food, but it just doesn't come
on a plate.
We could be eating all the right foods, yet still not feel vibrantly
alive and happy. For many people, including myself, if there's
an unmet need in one of these areas, it can show up in your food
- i.e. sugar binges, alcohol, drugs, salt cravings, to name a
few. For me, every time I start eating sugar on a regular basis
and instead of real meals, I know there's something going on that
I don't want to feel. It's my way of numbing out. It can be different
for everyone.
Primary Food can be as simple as taking a hot bath, exchanging
a five minute shoulder massage with a loved one, talking to your
boss about an upset at work and getting it handled, finding ways
to get more satisfaction from your work, accessing your creativity,
reading a novel, getting some romantic nutrients from your love
life, etc
We are in desperate need of this kind of food.
It's true soul food.

5.)
Get Your Body Moving!
If you're anything like me, you probably don't like the idea of
exercising. What if we decided not to exercise and decided to
find fun ways to move your body? Would it be fun to learn to play
tennis? How about ballroom dancing (a personal favorite)? Do you
like nature? Would being outdoors inspire you? Do you have a collection
of exercise videos that you haven't used in awhile?
Whether it's walking around the block or hitting the gym, starting
off with five minutes of movement everyday is better than no minutes.
Five minutes here, five minutes there
next thing you know,
you're moving for 20 minutes a day. It sneaks up on you and it's
fun to figure out all kinds of ways to bring movement into your
life. You'll feel so much better.
If you're already an avid workout guru, you'll learn the importance
of cross training and how variety (just like in food) can keep
your body moving easily out of plateaus and hum drum routines.
Let's face it, if you really want to feel and look great, exercise
is a reality. You've got to move!! Whether you want to train for
a triathlon, get to know all the walking trails in your neighborhood,
or take on rock climbing, I've got the resources and imagination
to help you get there. One step at a time.

6.)
Reduce, Understand and Control Cravings
Cravings can get the best of us. They can sabotage our health
efforts, make us go nuts for food items and seemingly have a death
grip on us. There is hope. In fact, you can regain control.
Here's an idea: you're cravings aren't really the problem. They
are simply a sign of imbalance. Once we understand what different
types of cravings are trying to tell us, it becomes easy to make
better choices.
However, the first step is to bring you back into balance and
create stability. Forget about removing your favorite craving.
You'll only binge on it later. If you work on the other areas
of your diet and lifestyle, your out-of-control cravings begin
to fade and you get your life back. You'll be surprised. You'll
start to feel better, and you won't believe how effortless it
can be.
We will talk about eating consciously and with awareness, so
when you do decide to indulge in a favorite craving, it will be
a completely different experience. We will also begin by bringing
your daily meals back into balance versus trying to take away
the problem foods. I'll help you figure out what's the right amount
of protein, calories, carbohydrates and fats for YOU. From dismantling
your food cravings, understanding your unique body needs, being
gentle with yourself and treating yourself as well as you treat
others
"together we can figure it out."

Radically Improve Your PMS and Difficult Periods
Women's issues fascinate me. This is quickly becoming a niche
as I work with more and more women who have struggled for years
with their menstrual cycle. With so much misinformation out there,
it's no wonder we're confused and don't know where to start.
We would begin by upgrading your meals to a much better choices
of what you already enjoy. Then start incorporating some good
quality fats, some key foods and herbal teas that ease PMS. I'll
share with you about what foods to eat, what to eat less of, and
some very helpful tools to deal with cravings, cramps and the
moody blues.
Most importantly, I'll help you get in touch with what you need
to do to transform your monthly "curse" to create a
wonderful, insightful and stress-less time of month for you. Maybe
you need more self-care, quite time, a creative outlet (yes, we
are all creative people, you don't need to be an artist to get
those juices flowing), movement, nurturing
what's your formula
for a great PMS? Let's figure it out.

8.)
Be healthy On-The-Go
You can be an active person, and still have time for your health
and self-care. There is a myth that being healthy requires lots
of time, complicated shopping and cooking and there are no good
choices when you're on-the-go. It's a lot easier to do than you
imagine. Here are some things we would cover together:
· Planning ahead and anticipating your days
· Having a food plan for the variety of activities you
participate in
· Creating healthy snack options to keep on hand
· Money saving shopping ideas and health food store resources
· Emergency food options when you're in a jam
for
home and on-the-go
· Eating out and understanding what you CAN eat and what
to have less of
· What to do when you travel - airport, car and hotel tools
for health
· Internet ordering resources
· Setting your self up for success
· And much more!

9.)
Make Getting Healthy Fun and Interesting
I think that we have forgotten how to lighten up, have fun and
not take ourselves so seriously. Even when we do make the time
to relax or do something fun, we often here our self saying something
like
"I really should be doing XYZ" (enter non-motivating
chore for XYZ) or we give ourselves such a guilt trip that we
couldn't possibly enjoy the moment. Well, I'll admit it. I've
been guilty of this too.
In my opinion, we would all be healthier and happier people if
we made sure to schedule the things we truly enjoy in our lives.
Many of us don't want to commit to getting healthy because it's
simply never been an enjoyable process. Well, come hang out with
me!
I'm a pretty silly and goofy person, and I am fairly certain
that will never change. I tried and tried to be the serious, no
nonsense nutrition coach, but it never really worked for me. In
fact, I think I scared some people. I tend to take myself entirely
too seriously as it is, so I insist on goofing off sometimes to
bring myself back to earth.
Working with me is a fun process. I like to laugh really loudly
and just enjoy life. I would encourage you to do the same and
find your own version of fun. What's fun for you? What do you
wish you did more of? What if moving your body (instead of "exercise")
was fun and motivating? What if you could really talk about your
health in a warm, lighthearted and empowering atmosphere? So,
when's the last time you made time for yourself?
We stay away from getting healthy because it's too overwhelming
or just doesn't seem enjoyable. Most people think getting healthy
is all about deprivation and denial. Well, forget that! I mean
sure, there WILL be setbacks and some sessions that will have
you thinking about food and your lifestyle in a different way.
And for some, that may be a bit uncomfortable at times. However,
I will be there for you, no matter what comes up. And that is
what makes the difference. Having consistent support can be the
catalyst to finally reaching your health goals, once and for all.

10.)
Reduce Stress Levels
Sometimes the stress in our lives is just enormous. Making a few
tweaks here in there can make all the difference. Are you eating
so darn well that you don't have time to enjoy life? Or perhaps
your life has gotten away from you and you desperately want to
make a change, and just don't know where to begin? Perhaps a little
of both?
Eating perfectly, living according to what you think you "should"
be doing and not what your body wants, is trouble waiting to happen.
Often we live according to what our mind wants, and not what our
body, spirit or soul craves.
By looking at how you're leading your life, your relationships,
your spiritual practice (whatever that means to you), career and
the type of physical activity you have
making some small
changes can have such a wonderful impact. If you can't imagine
fitting another activity in, you can start with just 5 minutes
of something wonderful.
Some other things we would work on together to reduce stress
in your life:
· Eating less stressor foods, reminding yourself to eat,
and eating well, will create less stress in your body.
· You can learn from pleasure, joy and fun. The "no
pain, no gain" mentality was never much fun anyways. You're
more likely to retain something if you enjoy it
finding
joy and fun in everyday moments.
· How you eat can affect your metabolism and stress in
your body
multi-tasking lunch is over rated -> taking
well deserved breaks.
· What your mind may want, and what your body needs may
not be in agreement
listening and trusting your body's signals.
· Five minutes of relaxation is better than no minutes.
· Laughter, after all, is the best medicine.
· And lots more!
Let's stop giving ourselves such a hard time. Sound good? How
about incorporating more joy and fun? Your body is constantly
trying to talk to you. It's time to pay attention. Stress less!
You'll live longer!
